Twiggy Thistle love fresh flowers, lush leafy foliage and lots of texture. Think English country gardens, scented flowers, herbs, foraged twigs.. and you're almost there.

Our work has a very loose and natural feel. Our beautiful natural floral arrangements are often wild and willowy, abundant and overflowing; bouquets have that just-picked look, as if they've been plucked from a cottage garden, or gathered from a summer meadow.  It's a style of arranging flowers that is often referred to as whimsical. But we're pretty darn serious about it!

If you're looking for flowers for an event with a rustic wild woodland feel, want relaxed and informal decorations for a barn or village hall wedding, or need help creating a boho hippy vibe for a fantastic festival wedding, we could be the perfect match for you.

Chantal is the creative soul behind Twiggy Thistle. A qualified and professional florist, her background in design and styling both informs and influences her approach to floristry and creative venue decor.

Having first studied Design History and worked in retail and visual display, she considered a career in museums and heritage before pursuing a more creative path and going back to night school to study floristry.

Over the last 12 years Chantal has gained a breadth of experience and expertise in retail, corporate and wedding floristry, whilst also assisting with styling interiors for magazines such as BBC Homes & Antiques, & Homes & Gardens and commercial clients including Marks & Spencer and Mothercare. More recently we have created set decor for Jungle Magazine.

Based in the beating heart of Reading, Berkshire, Twiggy Thistle provide flowers and floral arrangements for weddings and events in the Thames Valley area. Situated on the borders of Oxfordshire and Hampshire, we're not far from Buckinghamshire or West London either, and happy to travel further afield. Chantal also speaks fluent french, and rusty german and spanish, so can readily assist with planning and organising destination weddings.

The Twiggy Thistle studio is tucked away in a beautiful conservation area, in its own little nature reserve. The swifts, bats and beetles that make their home here are more than welcome, so long as they don't munch the flowers.
